A COUPLE QUICK QOUTES TO MAKE YOU THINK!
“
Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the universe – a spirit vastly superior to that of man, and one in the face of which we with our modest powers must feel humble. In this way the pursuit of science leads to a religious feeling of a special sort, which is indeed quite different from the religiosity of someone more naive.“ (Albert Einstein – Physicist – 1879-1955)
“I’m not an atheist and I don’t think I can call myself a pantheist. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many different languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangement of the books but doesn’t know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God. We see a universe marvelously arranged and obeying certain laws, but only dimly understand these laws. Our limited minds cannot grasp the mysterious force that moves the constellations.” (Albert Einstein – Physicist – 1879-1955)

INTRODUCTION AND PREMISE
This is where MN PARA-SCI deviates and departs from the established language of most religions and spiritual based paranormal groups; in an attempt to use para-science to define what has been commonly labelled “paranormal” or “supernatural”. To suggest that these events may be the product of certain fundamental interactive qualities of space-time geometry and quantum effects. The exact nature of how this occurs is presently unknown; but it is hinted at in various fields of scientific research proposed today!
Example: From cosmologists and physicists such as Albert Einstein, Max Planck, Niels Bohr, Werner Heisenberg, an others, we can see the foundations for quantum physics established. We also can explore the existence of phenomena such as time dilation, energy & mass interactions, entanglement, supposition, and black holes. Today, modern cosmologists and physicists, like Steven Hawking, Roger Penrose, Michio Kaku, Briane Greene and many others, have fleshed out these ideas into advanced conceptual theories. From these great minds conceptual theories on the nature of our reality have sprung forth. It is from these contemporary conceptual theories, asserted in science today, that has led MN Para-Sci to sponsor belief in a scientific explanation for certain aspects of paranormal phenomena.
Example: Asserted by Steven Hawking, it is suggested that there are micro-wormholes constantly emerging and dissipating on the planck scale level all around us. That these micro-wormholes help create the ”quantum foam” that forms the very matrix of our existence. That they may be connecting all locations in time, space and possibly even other universes together. Steven Hawking’s theories also support the many worlds interpretation of quantum physics, which asserts that we live in an infinite multiverse of parallel realities-universes. (Source Wikipedia, Bill Tracer and Scienceray.com, about.com, and Steven Hawking’s web site.) (Credit to: Bill Tracer’s awesome article, Tiny Wormholes and the Crazy Dance, at Scienceray.com which helped bring certain aspects of our theories to mind!) Above is a quick intro to Quantum Consciousness by M.D. Stuart Hameroff.
Example: Another theory that is compelling to MN Para-Sci, comes from mathematician Roger Penrose and M.D. Stuart Hameroff. Their theory on consciousness asserts that the human mind generates consciousness through quantum processes. That these processes somehow tap fundamental elements of consciousness that is pre-existing and embedded in the basic levels of the universe, and this allows for the creation of higher consciousness as we experience it. It is also asserted that it may be possible for our consciousness to exist, a least temporarily, outside the brain as entangled quantum information. This, if proven correct, would be huge in establishing the scientific existence of the soul and a possible type of afterlife. (Credit Source: Check out Dr. Hammeroff’s Website: http://www.quantumconsciousness.org/ for more source material that inspired our theories!) (Credit Source: For more information on Roger Penrose there is an adequate biography over at Wikipedia.)
THE MNPARA-SCI SUPPORTED ALTERNATIVES THEORIES
Now in posting support for these theories, I expect to catch some flack from the hardcore mainstream science types and from the purist spiritual camps. Lets make it perfectly clear, I am not taking credit as the original creator of these theories. I am only expounding upon them. Serious paranormal researchers such as David Roundtree and others, have asserted these theories long before I considered them, and should be credited as such. By my supporting of, and expounding upon these theories, the intent is not to offend or suggest any person, group or religion is wrong. Bear in mind that I am not a physicist who can argue and debate these ideas down to the finest of details. I do however see plausibility in these ideas, as they relate to literature research I have looked into. I also encourage any real physicists’ who read this article, to engage in all forms of direct and related research, that could assist in proving or disproving these ideas.
Above is a 5 minute primer on worm-holes and advanced theory worm-hole application.
THEORY #1:
WORMHOLE THEORY – ONE WAY INFORMATION EXCHANGES
It just might be that what paranormal groups have been calling “Residual Hauntings”, are actually a single direction information flow at the event horizon of an artificially or naturally expanded micro-wormhole. That it is in the proximity of this event horizon, where we can hear sounds, observe images, and even capture emergent phenomena such as an EVP; all of which are coming from some other point in space-time, possibely even another universe.
This original theory, which convinced me of the idea of worm holes as a paranormal source event, comes from the paranormal community by researcher David Roundtree, who in 2005 successfully linked electromagnetic fields as the primary source of EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena) which was published in his book Paranormal Technology. In 2010 he discovered that paranormal related EMF was an emergent phenomenon. This has led him to develop a wormhole hypothesis associated with a paranormal event horizon. (Credit: Check the published works of David Roundtree at his website for theories he has on this type of phenomena.)
IMPLICATIONS: In this theory you are experiencing events as they are occurring at some point in the past, present, future or even in a parallel universe! This is a phenomena of information being relayed by natural, incidental or possibly intentional means. In this theory you are not encountering the “spirits” of a departed person, but at experiencing a form of communication. In wormhole theory it is possible that you are the living and breathing source of a paranormal event, that is being experienced by someone else, at some other location in space time.
THEORY #2:
WORMHOLE THEORY – TWO WAY INFORMATION EXCHANGES
It just might be that what paranormal groups have been calling “Intelligent Hauntings” or “Portal Hauntings” are actually a two direction information exchange at the event horizon of an artificially or naturally expanded micro-wormhole. That it is in the proximity of these event horizons, where we can hear sounds, observe images, and even capture emergent phenomena such as an EVP. All of which are coming from some other point in space-time, possibely even another universe. What makes this exchange different fron theory is that the information flows both ways through the worm-hole. Literally this event becomes an open line of communication between different points in space & time, or even a parallel universe!

THEORY 3#:
QUANTUM CONSCIOUSNESS and NON LOCAL CONSCIOUSNESS
Another possible explanation for “intelligent hauntings”, “ghosts”, “poltergeists”, “out of body experiences”, “remote viewing”, ”near death experiences”, or even “demons”; may come from a very controversial but seemingly plausible fringe theory, that is coming out of the consciousness studies and quantum physics communities. This theory aims towards the notion that the human brain acts like a quantum computer, that can access certain pre-existing elements of consciousness in the fundamental levels of the universe, and then creates the more complex and personal consciousness we experience on a daily basis.
The specific theory postulated by Penrose and Hameroff suggests the possibility that disembodied consciousness may, at least temporarily, remain intact outside the human brain during times of applied anesthesia severe brain trauma, or even death. This disembodied consciousness lives on in the form of entangled quantum information, as a survival mechanism from having become dissociated from the brain due to quantum de-coherence.
Maybe most incidents of disembodied consciousness, after a given period of time, just go off into the multiverse or maybe they just return to the planck scale of the universe itself and rejoin the primordial source of all consciousness. This would make sense as quantum information, according to what I understand of physics, can never be destroyed. Being made of entangled quantum information, maybe disembodied consciousness utilizes these micro-wormholes to traverse space-time geometry. This might explain some of the reports coming from near death experiences, remote viewing and out of body experiences; where the observer reports being pulled towards and through a tunnel. Then seeing a bright light at the other end. This would also help explain why there are not over a billion voices being recorded every time someone attempts to use a digital audio recorder. Most of them are already gone.
IMPLICATIONS: In this theory you may indeed be encountering the disembodied consciousness of a person or thing. That the occurrence of being disembodied may be the result of numerous events such as death, being placed unconscious by anesthesia, and medical or other conditions that cause de-cohesion of the quantum enviroment that created the consciousness information entanglement. When it comes to a scientific explanation for the soul or “ghosts” this is as close as it gets.
COULD THIS ALTERNATIVE BE WRONG?
Of course these theories could be wrong! Most theories put out for peer review, even those posted by actual reputable scientists, are proven wrong on a daily basis. It’s by this process of trial and error, that theories are re-formulated based on new observations. Then slowly but surely theories over time, can evolve into research supported statements of scientific truth. As stated above, I am not a theoretical physicist… Just a guy who likes science, and has a lot of curiosity about the world around him. I would love to see more actual scientists, of international stature, take on this kind of research!
QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION
QUESTION – WHAT IS QUANTUM PHYSICS? (MN. Para-Sci defined) This is a branch of physics that deals with matter and energy interactions at the atomic and sub atomic levels. There are five main elements in quantum physics; 1 energy is not continuous but comes in discrete and indivisible units known as “quanta”; 2 elementary particles (photons, electrons, etc…) behave both as a particle and a wave; 3 movement or action of these elementary particles is inherently random; 4 it is physically impossible to know both the action and exact location of an elementary particle at the same time; 5 at the atomic and subatomic levels our universe is nothing like we see on a macro scale. As an unusual feature of quantum physics the mere act of observation, or act of measurement, of any given event will change its net results. Other interesting features including quantum entanglement and supposition are found. This branch of physics also lends itself to the idea of parallel universes existing as well.
Above is a 1 hour conceptual primer video on Quantum Physics by Physicist Brian Greene.
QUESTION – WHAT IS QUANTUM ENTANGLEMENT? (MN Para-Sci Defined) This unusual phenomena called “spooky action at a distance” by Albert Einstein; is a condition where interaction between electrons, protons, even larger objects like molecules or small diamonds; create an unseen bond or linkage between them. You can physically remove these objects from each other by great distances, and both will still behave in such a manner as to reflect that they are still bonded or linked together. Example: Think of two electrons interacting and become quantum entangled with each other. You then split them apart by several miles. In an experiment you cause one of the electrons to spin in a clockwise fashion; the other electron even though its miles away, will instantly assume an opposite counterclockwise spin, reflecting a reaction to what you did to its partner.
QUESTION – YOU TALK ABOUT THE PLANCK SCALE, HOW SMALL IS THAT? Planck scale is many time smaller by orders of magnitude than an electron. It is subatomic in size. It is so small that the concepts of distance and size break down. It is the base level where the fundamental structures and information in the universe exists. Some schools of thought depict this region as a frothy energetic sea of micro worm holes which emerge and dissipate rapidly, creating the fabric that holds our reality together. Still trying to wrap your mind around something that small? Here’s an analogy of just how truly impossible in detail this level of existence is…
Think of yourself sitting in your back yard with a descent sized telescope and you’re looking out into space… You can see the moon, you can see its big craters and mountains pretty easily. With a really good telescope you can count the smaller craters and even observe some of the massive boulder sized objects there. Now image you are trying to use a telescope to count grains of sand… on a distant planet… in another solar system that is light years away from Earth.
Sounds pretty impossible doesn’t it? That’s just how small in detail this scale is. That why it’s impossibly hard for scientists to make any direct observations about this realm. Much of the deductions about this realm come from advanced mathematical theorems and from observations of high energy collisions inside super colliders like the ones at the LHC and CERN.
Above is a 5 minute video diving into just how small the planck scale is!
QUESTION – WHY IS PARANORMAL PHENOMENA SO RANDOM AND INFREQUENT? The apparent randomness of paranormal phenomena may stem from the nature of quantum physics itself. Which suggests that events on the planck scale are random. This may apply to the emergence of paranormal phenomena as well if it is coming from this scale. Looking at micro-wormholes as conduits to other locations in space and time; one has to understand that only the smallest percentage of the universe, at any given point in time, is occupied by our world or other enviroments like our own. So the likelihood of a micro-wormhole opening and closing, randomly hitting target locations where observable life events are ongoing, is impossibly small. Most of the time, these micro-wormholes will be connected to nothing more that empty space.
QUESTION – WHY IS PARANORMAL PHENOMENA SO HARD TO STUDY IN A CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT? I suspect that one of the reasons it will be very hard to study paranormal phenomena from a true scientific angle, will stem from a major rule in quantum physics. (Heisenberg Uncertainty) On the smallest of scales, it is impossible to know both the exact motion and the exact location of any sub particulate such as electrons, photons, etc… Even in quantum physics this has been a huge hurdle; which has been addressed having to use huge devices like the LHC or other super particle colliders. To understand just how small of a scale were dealing with think of this analogy; think of a person using a telescope to count individual grains of sand on a beach, located on another planet, in another solar system!
The scale is so small it can only be conceptualized using mathematical models and indirectly observed inside high energy environments like a super collider. As to the creation of micro-wormholes in a controlled environment such as a laboratory. Again we have to accept our limitations and side from using something like the Large Hadron Collider, or another super particle collider, the creation of micro wormholes is only theoretical. Controlling one is even farther outside our scientific ability… maybe in a couple hundred years… For the time being we have to settle for setting up and capturing data from serendipitous locations where they occur naturally, and that’s what most paranormal investigators are already doing. As to replication of consciousness experiments. Good news is that this is already ongoing and posted online for peer review frequently. This is one area where research will likely advance quickly and help establish proof for the other theories.
Now the bad news… Not everyone can do this… It requires advanced medical-scientific training and access to scientific-medical equipment that is completely beyond the budget of any paranormal researcher. Most of us do not have access to things like a MRI & CAT Scan Imager, or EEG monitor for private usage. As paranormal researchers we are relegated to watching the advances of main stream medical research and quantum physics, which has the funding and equipment. The upside for the amateur researcher is that there are smaller things we can do. Like look for alpha, beta, and theta wave patterns (brain wave patterns) in the analysis of certain events such as EVP, by using equipment like an oscilloscope. The downside being they are still a bit pricey and most people do not have the technical training to use one effectively. But this is within reach of many groups if they invest the time and some resources. We can also track various elements associated with paranormal events like ion counts, gamma ray emissions, general radiation levels, EMF levels and temperature fluctuations… which are in all likelihood indicative of an emergent physical event like a worm-hole occurring.
QUESTION - SO DOES RELIGION HAVE IT ALL WRONG THEN?
I would have say no to that assertion. This is where MN PARA-SCI comes back into agreement with religious and spiritual groups. What I suspect is that these groups are not wrong in many respects. What I believe is they use a different language set to explain the exact same events and phenomena. Understand most religions are based on texts and beliefs that are thousands of years old. If you could go back in time a thousand years, and ask the most enlightened men or women of that day to examine and explain things like modern surgery, lasers, computers, airplanes, holograms, cars and yes… the science of quantum phenomena; they would call it “magic” or “supernatural“. So if we apply modern language to a 1000+ year old dogmatic explanation, the soul could very well be disembodied and entangled quantum information. What some groups call heaven, may very well be the planck scale or another fundamental layer of the universe, where everything including consciousness comes from. By asserting such, I am not suggesting anyone reading this article go out and subscribe to an alternative belief system. What I do know is that our existing religious beliefs explain to us the exact same thing in a different manner. That we are one people tied together, in and by something greater than ourselves.
I think Albert Einstein put it best: “We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many different languages. Our limited minds cannot grasp the mysterious force that moves the constellations.”
IN CONCLUSION: It would seem our world is a far stranger place than we could have ever imagined. One just has to look at the fields of medical science and physics to see that. Our ability to define reality advances at an ever accelerating pace. Any theories posted here today, may be significantly altered, or even completely dismissed, by tomorrow. I do firmly believe that science has the ability to eventually define what is going on around us. So stay tuned folks and watch what develops… It’s an exciting time to be alive in!

TRADITIONAL PARANORMAL DEFINITIONS
The following defintions are commonly used in the paranormal community to define paranormal phenomena. These definitions are being posted here as necessary background reference for the supported alternative para-science theories posted above. Keep in mind that these definitions are not all-inclusive, nor do they represent the theories held as “most plausible” by MNPARA-SCI.
Residual Haunting or Stone Tape Theory: The Stone Tape theory is a paranormal hypothesis that was proposed in the 1970s as a possible explanation for ghosts. It speculates that inanimate materials can absorb some form of energy from living beings; the hypothesis speculates that this “recording” happens especially during moments of high tension, such as murder, or during intense moments of someone’s life. This stored energy can be released, resulting in a display of the recorded activity. According to this hypothesis, ghosts are not spirits but simply non-interactive recordings similar to a movie. Paranormal investigators commonly refer to such phenomena as a Residual Haunting. (Source Wikipedia)
Intelligent Haunting or Ghosts: In the terminology of ghost hunting, an intelligent haunting (also known as a classic, traditional, or portal haunting) differs from a residual haunting, being a haunting in which a spiritual entity is aware of the living world and interacts with or responds to it. Ghost hunters and paranormal writers believe that such a ghost or spirit may be able to communicate with the living, not just by talking, but by moving inanimate objects such as furniture or toys. Study and classification of ghosts and poltergeist is regarded as pseudoscience by mainstream science because it does not use a system of controlled experimentation or adherence to the scientific method. (Source Wikipedia)
Remote viewing: This is the practice of seeking impressions about a distant or unseen target using subjective means, in particular, extra-sensory perception (ESP) or “sensing with mind”.The scientific community rejects remote viewing due to the absence of an evidence base, the lack of a theory which would explain remote viewing, and the lack of experimental techniques which can provide reliably positive results. It is also considered a pseudoscience. Remote viewing was popularized in the 1990s, following the declassification of documents related to the Stargate Project, a $20 million research program sponsored by the U.S. Federal Government to determine any potential military application of psychic phenomena. The program was eventually terminated in 1995, because it had failed to produce any useful intelligence information. (Source Wikipedia)
Near Death Experiences: A near-death experience (NDE) refers to a broad range of personal experiences associated with impending death, encompassing multiple possible sensations including detachment from the body; feelings of levitation; total serenity, security, or warmth; the experience of absolute dissolution; and the presence of a light. These phenomena are usually reported after an individual has been pronounced clinically dead or otherwise very close to death, hence the term near-death experience. Many NDE reports, however, originate from events that are not life-threatening. With recent developments in cardiac resuscitation techniques, the number of reported NDEs has increased. The experiences have been described in medical journals as having the characteristics of hallucinations, while parapsychologists, religious believers and some mainstream scientists have pointed to them as evidence of an afterlife and mind-body dualism. (Source Wikipedia)
Out of Body Experiences: An out-of-body experience (OBE or sometimes OOBE) is an experience that typically involves a sensation of floating outside one’s body and, in some cases, perceiving one’s physical body from a place outside one’s body (autoscopic). The term out-of-body experience was introduced in 1943 by George N. M. Tyrrell in his book Apparitions, and was adopted by researchers such as Celia Green and Robert Monroe as an alternative to belief-centric labels such as “astral projection”, “soul travel”, or “spirit walking”. The researcher Waldo Vieira described the phenomenon as a projection of consciousness. OBEs can be induced by brain traumas, sensory deprivation, near-death experiences, dissociative and psychedelic drugs, dehydration, sleep, and electrical stimulation of certain parts the brain, among others. It can also be intentional induced by some Mainstream science considers the OBE a type of hallucination that can be caused by various psychological and neurological factors. Some parapsychologists and occult writers treat OBEs as evidence that a soul, spirit or subtle body can detach itself from the body and visit distant locations. One in ten people has an OBE once, or more commonly, several times in his or her life, but scientists still know little about the phenomenon. (Source Wikipedia)
Soul: The soul, in many mythological, religious, philosophical, and psychological traditions, is the incorporeal and, in many conceptions, immortal essence of a person, living thing, or object.According to some religions (including the Abrahamic religions in most of their forms), souls—or at least immortal souls capable of union with the divine—belong only to human beings. For example, the Catholic theologian Thomas Aquinas attributed “soul” (anima) to all organisms but taught that only human souls are immortal.Other religions (most notably Jainism) teach that all biological organisms have souls, and others further still that non-biological entities (such as rivers and mountains) possess souls. This latter belief is called animism.Anima mundi and the Dharmic Ātman are concepts of a “world soul.” Soul can function as a synonym for spirit, mind, psyche or self. (Source Wikipedia)
Ghost, or Spirit: In traditional belief and fiction, a ghost (sometimes known as a spectre (British English) or specter (American English), phantom, apparition or spook) is the soul or spirit of a dead person or animal that can appear, in visible form or other manifestation, to the living. Descriptions of the apparition of ghosts vary widely from an invisible presence to translucent or barely visible wispy shapes, to realistic, lifelike visions. The deliberate attempt to contact the spirit of a deceased person is known as necromancy, or in spiritism as a séance. The belief in manifestations of the spirits of the dead is widespread, dating back to animism or ancestor worship in pre-literate cultures. Certain religious practices—funeral rites, exorcisms, and some practices of spiritualism and ritual magic—are specifically designed to rest the spirits of the dead. Ghosts are generally described as solitary essences that haunt particular locations, objects, or people they were associated with in life, though stories of phantom armies, ghost trains, phantom ships, and even ghost animals have also been recounted. (Source Wikipedia).
Poltergeist: In paranormal studies, a poltergeist is the apparent manifestation of an invisible but noisy, disruptive or destructive entity. Most accounts of poltergeist manifestations involve noises and destruction that have no apparent cause. Reports also include inanimate objects being picked up and thrown as if by an invisible person; noises such as knocking, rapping, or even human voices; and petty physical attacks on human beings, such as pinching, biting, and hitting and tripping. Poltergeists have traditionally been described as troublesome spirits who, unlike ghosts, haunt a particular person instead of a specific location. Such alleged poltergeist manifestations have been reported in many cultures and countries including the United States, Japan, Brazil, Australia, and most European nations. The earliest recorded cases date back to the 1st century. (Source Wikipedia).
Demon: A demon or daemon is a malevolent being prevalent in religion, occultism, literature, fiction, and folklore. The original Greek word daimon does not carry the negative connotation initially understood by implementation of the Koine δαιμόνιον (daimonion), and later ascribed to any cognate words sharing the root. In Ancient Near Eastern religions as well as in the Abrahamic traditions, including ancient and medieval Christian demonology, a demon is considered an unclean spirit, sometimes a fallen angel, the spirit of a deceased human, or a spirit of unknown type which may cause demonic possession, calling for an exorcism. In Western occultism and Renaissance magic, which grew out of an amalgamation of Greco-Roman magic, Jewish demonology, and Christian tradition. (Source Wikipedia)
